Two Pianos

Two Pianos: After spending years teaching and performing in Japan, pianist Mathias (François Civil) returns to Lyon. In contrast to Mathias’s rendezvous with his charismatic but unpredictable ex, Claude (Nadia Tereszkiewicz), he is called back to perform a duet with his former teacher Elena (Charlotte Rampling) at her final concerts. This interaction with a strict mentor is less intimidating. The renowned, usually dominant Rampling has a good collaborator in Civil, one of France’s biggest emerging performers, who worked hard to interpret Bach on screen himself.
