Back in Haifa, Fifi’s older brother Rami is experiencing a personal crisis of his own when his Jewish girlfriend Shirley announces she is expecting a child and intends to carry it to term. As Hanan, the mother of Fifi and Rami, arranges her oldest daughter’s wedding, the family’s severe financial difficulties become apparent behind closed doors.
